Rotor Blades and Beyond
Which safety standards must modern inspection procedures reflect and how does regulation need to be adapted to enable them?
Wind turbines are a central component of the energy transition. The maintenance of rotor blades is a very costly part of operating ever larger turbines. Modern inspection methods such as the use of AI-supported thermography can make a decisive contribution to reducing these costs. At the same time, the highest safety standards must be met and this must be reflected in the regulatory framework.
The Wind@BAM competence center cordially invites stakeholders from industry, research and legislation to an interdisciplinary dialogue.
Target Groups
The industrial implementation of modern inspection methods for wind turbines requires the cooperation and coordination of various stakeholders. These include researchers, operators and manufacturers of wind turbines, inspection companies, certifiers and regulatory authorities. In order to capture the topic as holistically as possible in its complexity, we will strive for a discussion with all stakeholders and invite the various groups to participate.
