- Life Sciences Campus Nord in close proximity to the Charité
- Campus Adlershof for Mathematics and Natural Sciences, in the heart of the Science and Technology Park Berlin-Adlershof
The Mathematics and Natural Science Campus of the HU
The departments of Chemistry, Geography, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology are based in Adlershof. The Erwin Schrödinger Centre houses the natural sciences library as well as IT and media services, providing state-of-the-art services for teaching and research. The focus of interdisciplinary collaboration at the site range from pure mathematics and model-based systems development to the study of functional materials and human-environment systems and cognitive science issues. The interdisciplinary research institutes IRIS Adlershof and IRI THESys as well as the Center for the Science of Materials Berlin successfully connect Humboldt-Universität with non-university research institutions and high tech companies.
Supporting young entrepreneurs
Humboldtians interested in establishing their own company – regardless of whether they are students or researchers – can count on the Startup Service, both with information and practical assistance, on their way to becoming entrepreneurs. Central to the Startup Service’s work are the startup incubators (venture zones) in Adlershof and Mitte, which provide office space to HU’s entrepreneurs: connecting with other entrepreneurs and developing innovative ideas are a lot easier in these creative environments.
Additionally, the Startup Service team supports startup projects with identifying and applying for financing opportunities such as Berliner Startup Stipendium and EXIST programmes.
After a startup’s creation, Humboldt Innovation supports the founders in a variety of ways, for example with training opportunities, alumni work as well as service packages that assist the young entrepreneurs in their daily work.
