Adlershof: a mecca for events
Adlershof con.vent. offers unusual, inspiring and well organised locations
Anyone looking for unusual, inspiring and well organised locations with a special extra something for an event will soon find what they are looking for at the Adlershof Science and Technology Park. Regardless of the subject or size: companies, scientific institutes and agencies find the perfect conditions for holding events here.
It is the vibrant atmosphere of a future-proof location with an illustrious past, the high density of company founders, entrepreneurs, researchers and students combined with an outstanding conference infrastructure that makes Adlershof such a sought-after venue. Anyone who has been here once will be happy to come back. Ever new aspects and developments fascinate visitors from all over the world. Germany’s largest science and technology park is now one of the country’s most exciting event locations.
Almost anything is possible here: specialist conferences with several hundred participants, talent and technology fairs with accompanying programmes, roadshows or product presentations. Whether it’s a concert, gala dinner, summer festival, Christmas party, networking meeting or innovative event ideas like the World Café: “We provide the right venue – ranging from the traditional meeting room via the listed hangar or the futuristic technology centre through to all kinds of open spaces”, says Linda Jentsch, Head of Sales at Adlershof con.vent.
The WISTA building alone, constructed in Bauhaus style in 1936 as home to the Deutsche Versuchsanstalt für Luftfahrt (German Aviation Research Centre), spans an exciting arc in timeless modernity from the site’s history of aviation into a future that is being shaped here in more than 1,000 companies and institutes.
Inside the “Adlershof Convention Center” houses a large auditorium, two foyers, six workshop rooms and fully equipped catering and exhibition areas across 2,500 square metres. It forms the heart of the Adlershof mecca for events and is completed by a 700 square metre terrace. “Adlershof has many diverse and unique indoor and outdoor areas where all sorts of event ideas, including usual ones, can be celebrated”, explains Jentsch.
All the main sites in Adlershof are within a few minutes’ walk of each other. The transport links meet every requirement. Even overnight stays and catering are organised by a dedicated team. There is a choice of several hotels and caterers directly on site. There are numerous bistros to choose from for budget-conscious visitors. “There is something to suit every taste”, says Jentsch.
If required, Adlershof con.vent. can even look beyond its own boundaries and arrange events at other inspiring locations in Berlin. Schöneweide, for instance, to which visitors can travel by solar ship.
